I have not tried these flies yet as I don't do well fishing at -5 degrees. But when the weather gets a bit warmer I am sure if I do my part and of course the fish do their part, these flies won't disappoint.
Subtle and floaty. They give a hint of emerger and the trout gobbled them up on the water the other day. I just fished this pattern to see how it would float and , even though it is January, I still had several takers!
The weight on this fly makes a great anchor fly when I tightline. The trout love the leech presented that way on my local waters. Also highly effective on lakes. Great weight on a classic and effective pattern!
I've not used the WD-40 yet, but the pattern is nice and is very close to some flies I picked up in CO a few months back. These are my first purchase and they seem to be of good quality. We'll see when I start catching fish with them.
